THE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS

Prophet Isaiah prophesied that “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Songs of praise and worship streamed from the temple as the believers pulled out all dance moves to celebrate Christmas day; a day when prophecy was perfected and man received salvation!
From the glorious Christmas choruses, the servant of God took position at the pulpit to deliver the day’s message titled “THE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS” with reference from the book of Mark 1:14-15 “Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
The Servant of God said that the symbol of Christmas is to prove that the kingdom of God is already here. His being born means LOVE for God is LOVE. Prophet Abraham Richard bringing more insight in the teaching said that, where there’s God, His kingdom is present. With reference from the book of psalms 48:9 “we have thought, O God, on your loving kindness, In the midst of your temple.” In celebration of love, the servant of God shared with the believer’s bread as a physical sign of love; the same way the Lord so loved the world that on this day, a saviour was born to save the lost sheep of Israel.
The prophet breaking down the message said that for this very reason a Christian should celebrate Christmas is because of love. He said that to a man of faith; it is a day to renew faith just like it was with the shepherds and the wise men; their faith was renewed due to the birth of the Messiah. Abraham Richard said that the angel came and empowered their faith and encouraged the believers to be that angel to today; share what you have with those in need to bring out the true nature of Christmas. The Servant of God said that it was the angel of the Lord who directed them into a manger where the new born Jesus was wrapped in clothes. But Before the world, nothing good can be found in a manger, meaning where we do not expect to find a miracle, it is where you will find salvation. The Servant of God encouraged the believers to take heart, because Christmas is here to uplift their faith as it was with the shepherds and the wise men.
Summing up the message, he advised the believer’s to wait on God until he is visible to them for unto us salvation is born today to awaken our fallen, unstable, discouraged faith. Noting that if you want to see God working and moving in your life, let love be a weapon rooted in your hearts.
