From the True Vine Communion Ministries for all Nations prophecy
archives, Evangelist James Ian Stephen ushered the believers into the message
of the day titled “Prophets are not
entertainers!” He said that as we celebrate the greatest prophecy of all times
which is the birth of Jesus Christ, let us remember that prophecy has never had
its origin in the will of men (2Peter 1:20-21) When a prophet talks, take his
words seriously never doubt it.
A prophet has no Nation- he is there to proclaim God’s message; the best example is prophet Isaiah who prophesied the birth of Christ to which every race celebrates now. The evangelist asserted that do not joke with a prophet of God for prophets are not there to entertain but speak the will of God! When a prophet speaks the humble are saved and the stubborn are destroyed therefore give a keen ear to every word a prophet says for it is God speaking through them. (Ezekiel 7:1-5) Giving breath to this message the evangelist referred to the book of 2Kings 5:20-27 “…But Elisha said to him, “Was not my spirit with you when the man got down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to take money or to accept clothes olive groves, vine yards flock herds or menservants and maidservants…”
The evangelist warned and reminded the
servants of God who are in Gehazi’s position today to always consult the
prophets of God before taking any step; more so in serving God because it is the
prophet’s obligation to guide every servant of God regardless of their title
and age to God’s will. Evangelist James
Ian Stephen lamented that today the story is different, many servants of God
have stubbornly and arrogantly refused to consult the prophets about the will
of God and in this way they themselves have misled many children of God off God’s will. “The same leprosy that clung on
Gehazi years ago is eating up the church and the church leaders today,”
exclaimed the Evangelist. The love for money is so rampant that many church
leaders are using every decoy and trap to acquire wealth yet this is not what
the spirit of the Lord says. Remember freely we were given, freely we have to give;
freely did God give us His one and only Son and freely we ought to spread His
good news to others.
Believer as you value and celebrate the birth of Jesus,
remember His birth was a prophecy encrypted in the Spirit. Therefore, before
you buy fine clothes and good food, seek first the spirit of God to guide you
for the spirit gives life.
Merry Christmas!
