The service began with awesome songs of praise and worship bringing the glorious presence of the Lord in His sanctuary. It was evident that TVC is a pool that wets the congregation with joy, peace, love and above all grace to the extent that even amidst heavy down pour; one could not resist braving through to come and tap more fruit of the Holy Ghost. After the heavy down pour, the servant of God Abraham Richard beaming with a big smile took his position at the altar and informed the congregation, that the Lord was speaking to His children and advised them to always be keen to hear the voice of God. He swiftly introduced the message of the day that was given to him to deliver entitled;
EXAMINE YOURSELF: 2Corrinthians
13:5
The servant of God assured the congregation that one can do all things if he has faith in God. However, he opened the understanding of the congregants as he led them into the word of life – 2Corinthians 13:5 saying that before you boast that you are believer of Christ, first check yourself and affirm that truly you have your faith rooted in Jesus Christ. He moved deeper in the message and informed the congregants that God wants you to believe; that’s why He shows you visions, heals and talks to you because He knows that when you are in faith, everything is possible since it’s His desire to see you shine.
The servant of God went on further and said that today’s
Church is full of fear. Many people go to church because they are operating
under fear and worry because of the problems being encountered. Reminding the
believers about Christ’s character, he said; Jesus was a man of peace who never
worried about tomorrow. Therefore whoever believes in Him should emulate His
ways rather than looking for peace and after receiving it you disappear. When
you run away after receiving whatever brought you in church is proof enough
that you do not have genuine faith in God. Again he alerted the congregation in
an affirmative voice “examine yourself and see if you have faith in God.”
Climaxing the message he explained in detail of how one can
examine himself. He said that examining
yourself means looking at your ways; attitude, and the inner intentions of your
actions. Therefore a person will not know whether he has faith in Christ or not
unless he tests it. Bringing it in
reality he said, whatever you are seeing in your life is happening for the sake
of your faith. Look at your situation, read the word of God and put it into action
without doubt. The servant of god said
that to confirm that your faith is in Christ, one should be able to freely
emulate the ways of the believers in Acts 4:32-34. He paused a question can you
do this? Remember if you have faith, you can do all things.
The servant of God ended the message with a tip to the congregation
on how to sustain and have steady faith in Christ. He said that the best way to
edify your faith is to live each day like as if it was your last doing your
best at each moment emphasizing that God is willing to do all that He promised
but all He wants is genuine faith. That action you would like to display on
your last day practice it daily and you will please God keeping in mind that
the battles and challenges that one is faced with today are a playground for
you to demonstrate our faith. Again he asked the congregant to examine
themselves-do you have genuine faith?
