WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT IS ETERNAL LIFE.

What is most important is that that comes from heaven. If God loves you, he will give you what is most important first and that is the Holy Spirit and eternal life and he will give that that is of this world last. The kingdom of heaven is expensive because it costs life. Whatever comes from heaven is expensive, it is life, it is Jesus Christ because life is found in him. What we need is life, money is not life, and life is peace. Many of us think that we are righteous and should take up eternal life through following the law. Even though we know these laws and keep them, this doesn’t make us righteous.

The question is, what do you worship? Whatever you worship is what may fail you to go to heaven. Whatever you love is what you fear and it is what you worship. Luke 18: 18-25, this rich man kept all the commandments but had no love for God.  Laws and commands do not make us righteous but it is the love for God that makes us righteous. Do you worry for God or do you worry about physical things? God knows what is in your heart. We fear situations more than God, that’s why we are worried about what will happen tomorrow. You are worried about your tomorrow yet you do not know about your today.  Everything else can wait but Jesus cannot wait. In this life there are three things which fail the church of God from progressing and they make people fall from the truth. These are the things that we should be mindful about so that we may not fall from the Grace.

YOUR FAMILY.

Be careful of your family because you will either obey your family or God. You will either care for your family or for God. Your family is your wife, children or parents, brothers and sisters. These can make you fall from the Grace. Eli was a good man who served God as he led and judged Israel but in his heart, he loved his family more.  God warned him about the behavior of his sons who were corrupting and defiling the house of God with immorality and theft.  But Eli compromised with them and as a result, God rejected him and chose Samuel. Eli’s message of destruction came from Samuel.

Your family can make you fall from the Grace if they do not walk the way you walk. Never let your family interfere with your relationship with God. Hosea was told to leave his wife and marry a prostitute and because his heart was with God, he did what God told him to do. Therefore be a man, a woman of your word. If you want to deliver your family from bondage, and if they do not walk the way you walk, separate yourself from them.

The Lord told Lot to run away from the town with his family and was told not to look back as God was going to destroy it. But on the way, his wife looked back and was destroyed but this did not stop Lot from going on. He did what God told him to do and he left his wife behind. People will never believe until you are unique. Today they will talk and criticize you but they will believe when they see that you have something. But remember nothing is for free and your enemy is in your house.

YOUR FINANCES.

Zacheaus was rich but his heart as for God, he paid 3 times what he had stolen and followed Jesus. If money still rules your life, if money speaks and you bow down, then you are in trouble. The more we follow money is the more we fall in the hands of the devil. Money is the source of every evil. Money can cause you to “dump” God. There are those who do not have peace because they do not have money. If you do not have money and you have peace, thank Jesus.  Many come to Jesus to get money and if he does not give them today, tomorrow they will not come back. If you are not faithful in small matters then you cannot be faithful in big matters. God will first give you the kingdom before he gives you money. If he gives you money first, then you will worship money instead of him.

The more money comes, the more responsibilities you will have.  Better have enough and stay in the presence of God. Be poor but a friend of God.

YOUR  WEAKNESSES.

Be careful about your weaknesses. Every man has a weakness that fails him to be confident before God. The more you focus on your weakness the more you fall from the Grace. When you compromise with your weakness, then you will fail to serve God. The servants of God Moses, Paul, Abraham all had weaknesses. Abraham’s weakness was bareness but he did not concentrate on it. God built his glory on Paul’s weaknesses and this humbled him.  (2^nd  Corinthians 12: 1- 10.) GOD uses our weaknesses to humble us. Paul also did not concentrate on his weakness. Moses was not a good orator, he could not talk eloquently but when he told God, he gave him a spokesman – Aaron. God permits our weaknesses to make us humble.

Matthew 6 :25 -34 All in all, seek the kingdom of God first and the rest shall follow you.
